National Medical Fellowship

National Medical Fellowships (NMF) service-learning programs provide special opportunities for students to work hands-on to enhance health care delivery in underrepresented communities. These programs match students with mentors, often eminent NMF alumni, and focus on areas of critical clinical/public health need. National Medical Fellowships, Inc. (NMF) is the only national organization solely dedicated to providing scholarships and support to medical and health professions students across all groups underrepresented in healthcare. To ensure continued health equity, in 2020 NMF’s programming was expanded to provide training and support for diverse physicians to be more actively involved in clinical trials. NMF’s goal is to identify and nurture tomorrow’s diverse healthcare leaders, who will have the knowledge, skills, cultural competency, and commitment to achieve health equity.
